My Sister's House

B.O.S.S. funding will be used to assist My Sister's House in supporting survivors, specifically those with limited English skills or other cultural challenges, in moving toward economic self-sufficiency. My Sister’s House intends to increase access to economic empowerment through a series of eight services/activities ranging from education to outreach to safety-net services, including transitional housing and employment support.

My Sister’s House’s planned program is unique in that it is: 1. Led by survivors of Asian Pacific Islander descent; 2. Includes participants who are domestic violence survivors; and 3. Focuses on ensuring that participating survivors obtain jobs.

My Sister’s House will integrate the new B.O.S.S. initiative into its existing Women-to-Work Program, thus increasing its likelihood of success and strengthening a proven agency program.
